Who can use Pantry Deals

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

Your account

You sign in through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of the receipts, images, shopping lists, recipes, and other content you upload or create ("Your Content"). You grant Belgar a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to read a receipt into a spending history or match deals to your staples. You represent that you have the right to provide Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. You can delete Your Content or your entire account at any time (see Data Deletion).

Separately, we may create de-identified and aggregated data derived from Your Content — price and product information that does not identify you and cannot reasonably be linked back to you — and we may use, retain, and license that de-identified data for any business purpose, including sharing it with third parties. Our Privacy Policy describes what this data contains and the safeguards around it. This right survives deletion of Your Content or your account, because the de-identified data can no longer be tied to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• upload content you do not have the right to upload, or another person's data without their permission;
• scrape, copy, resell, or build a competing product from the Service or its data;
• reverse-engineer, probe, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security; or
• misrepresent your identity or impersonate anyone else.

Deals, prices, and savings estimates

Prices, deals, savings estimates, and product details are provided for general guidance only and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They come in part from third parties and from automated reading of your receipts, which can make mistakes. Actual prices and availability are set by the retailer at the point of sale — always verify in store. Pantry Deals is not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

Third-party services and trademarks

The Service relies on third parties (for example Clerk, Google, Resend, Amazon Web Services, Kroger, and Flipp) and may display data, names, and logos belonging to retailers and brands. Those marks are the property of their respective owners. Pantry Deals and Belgar LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or brand whose name appears in the Service. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms.

Service availability and changes

The Service is offered on an ongoing but evolving basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and any warranty about the accuracy of prices, deals, or extracted receipt data — to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Belgar LLC and its officers, members, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost savings, profits, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Belgar LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as content licenses for data already processed, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Belgar LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Westchester County, New York for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.
